| Hypertufa planters are made from concrete either (Portland Cement or Mortor Mix) without sand and either peat moss or perlite as the catalyst (What starts it to stick together). Perilite is the white flakes you see in potting soil and is very light. Use perlite in place of peat moss to get a very white planter and very light in weight planter. The use of peat moss will give a more natural rock looking planter. The hypertufa planters that I sell are made using both methods and no two are alike. I will ship planters that come nearest to matching the picture and size shown and in which I have used perlite as the catalyst. |
