Hypertufa. Our hypertufa are styrofoam based but look like real rock.

Our Hypertufa is made without any concrete but with a styrofoam base therefor it is light
and very durable. It is light enough that we can ship it without incurring additional
shipping cost and it will not break if dropped. The finishing process uses "Drylock" a
paint type substance that is used to seal basement walls. It is guaranteed to hold back a
13 foot wall of water and is guaranteed for life therefore it is ideal for our hypertufa
because it adheres extremely well to the styrofoam and to the sand mixture we use.

We make all our tufa boxes or tubs from recycled styrofoam saving it from the landfills.
They actually look much prettier than regular hypertufa. The heart shaped, kidney
shaped and ovals are cut from high density styrofoam purchased from Lowes,

Because the water will not evaporate thru the styrofoam each planter is drilled with
several drain holes. These planters look extremely nice planted in our Sempervivum and
sedum or can be planted with impatiens, marygolds, or any plant of your choice. They
even look nice on your desk at work. Hearts come in two styles as follows and the variety
of plants may vary depending on what looks the best at time of shipment.
