Sedum. Here you will find both trailing and upright sedums. Enjoy.
Sedums can grow in damper conditions than sempervivum but are completely
complimentary as they also belong to the crassulaceae family. Mulch heavily around the
tall sedums using wood chips and they will really respond. Mulch the trailing sedum with
colored gravel if desired.

All of my sedums have now been tested outside here in zone 5 and found to easily survive
our winter.  All sedums will respond well to ferterlizer.  I recommend "Miracle Grow"
20-20-20 at least twice during the growing season or some form of slow release ferterlizer
such as osmocote. The tall sedums should only be purchased in the winter or spring
months when they are dormant because I ship bare root and they will wilt or rot the top
foliage during shipment. Most tall growing varieties and some of the trailing varieties are
deciduous (loose their leaves in winter). For this reason colder areas may have to
purchase and then test for your area. The tall sedums really look good when clumped
about 14 inches in diameter. You can do an entire landscape just using tall sedum and it
is fabulous.

will trail from a
container to about 8
inches. Multiplies rapidly
and makes a good
ground cover. Item
