Sedums      updated 28 Sep 06
All of my sedums have now been tested outside here in zone 5 and found to easily survive our winter. Colder areas may have to purchase and then test for your area.  All sedums will respond well to ferterlizer.  I recommend "Miracle Grow" 20-20-20 at least twice during the growing season unless you are growing them in a potting or garden soil with a ferterlizer charge already included in the soil.

Autum Joy Sedum in bloom in september in USDA zone 5. This sedum retails for $3.50 each. A minimum of three plants per order is required when purchasing alone. Shipping charges apply. Item #SE0001
I was given the wrong name for this sedum so I won't give a name until I'm sure of what it is.  These blooms change to a dark rusty red in about two weeks. Plants retail for $3.50 each. Minimum of three plants required per order when purchased alone. Shipping applies. Item #SE0002

Blue Spruce Sedum is aptly named looking just like branches on a Colorado Blue Spruce tree. It grows to six inches with bloom stalks reaching one foot. Bright yellow star like bloom.  Sells for $3.75 in 2-1/2" x 3" deep  container.  Item #SE0003.
Gold Star Sedum freezes down here in USDA Zone 5 but recovers quickly in spring. Very prolific in moist soil reaching 2" high. Chartruse color with bright gold star shaped blooms on 6" stems. This sedum sells in 2-1/2 X 3" deep  containers for $3.75.  Item #SE0004.
Dragons blood sedum in bloom on 6 August. The leaves will start turning red by the beginning of September and will remain so until the frost gets them finally about Christmas time here in West Virginia. Some tiny leaves will remain all winter. Sells for $3.75 each in 2-1/2" X 3" deep containers.  Item #SE0005
Voodoo Sedum a mutation of Dragons Blood Sedum much darker in color. These grown under shade are a dark redish/brown here at the nursery. This one is definitely a winner. Item #SE0006.

This little sedum was given to me and I have not been able to identify it. It is extremely hardy but likes a little moisture. It grows to about 3/4" and has a tiny yellow bloom. Very airy grey/green foliage and will hang down over a rock or container side about 5 inches. It really responds to a little ferterlizer.  Item # SE0007 sells for $3.75 in 2-1/2" container.
Again, I don't know the name of this tiny sedum but have listed it because it is so pretty.  One tiny little bract was stuck on one of the sempervivums that I ordered and I have propagated it from this single bract. It is light green pear shaped bracts that are very watery and it grows only about 1/4 to 3/8" high. It can stand very dry soil but will proliforate with extra moisture. I have left this sedum outside in 1" X 1" square X 1-1/2 " deep 6 packs and it has survived as such down to 12 degrees.  It will also look good in any inside setting.   Item #SE0008
This is sedum Wiehenstephaner Gold showing winter color. It was just dug out from under 10 inches of frozen snow and thawed for this picture. It will grow to about 3 inches tall with gold bloom in the summer. These little winter rosettes are about 3/8th inch in diameter 1/2 to 3/4 inch tall. They will turn to a pale green come summer. You can see green under the rose in this photo. Item #0009
Kamtschaticum Varigatum Sedum. This little sedum is almost identical to the Wiehenstephaner Gold above with the exception that it has orange blooms and the summer foilage is varigated with white. Winter color and size is the same.  Item #0010 Not Available at this time.
