Some of our growing areas.The first group of pictures were taken September 2003. As you can see, the
sempervivums are mostly green. This is because they have not started their winter change of color. These
photos also show shade houses under construction and the use of double decker benches which didn't work
out. The second group of photos show how the color has changed as of 10 Feburary 2004. Scroll down in

Sempervivums and sedums growing on double decker benches.Double decking these benches proved to be a costly mistake because the top benches would dry out while the bottom benches stayed too wet. Also with an extrmemly cloudy and wet summer and a 70% shade cloth over this house, the bottom benches became leggy. The shade cloth and top benches were both removed and used elsewhere. Below is a different view of the double decker benches.
